Thanks for the tertiary scholarship priority for all the city students especially in the mountain barangays. And with all the privilege, the city offered condominiums as a boarding rooms for indigenous students where their parents are very thankful for it.
Most of their parents are in the farm planting corns, vegetables and other root crops as their means of living and worst thing is that they have their younger sisters and brothers that looks for their diploma to land a good job so that they can be sent to exclusive schools or even in a public college someday.
To live in the Cebu City is very crowded and noisy but happy because you will meet lots of new friends and they were safe because the Cebu City government hired security guards to look over those teenagers in the said condominiums but where they may go and dwell for a semester or years to finish their degree if the Cebu City government will close it for those students and offer it for the urban poor.
Sadly, they have to sacrifice. In addition, many students who cannot afford to rent a room here in the City to live until they finished there degree may stop to go to school and force to go to their provinces or to go to work but for me the opportunities are in the air always. It really depend on us if we're going to grab it or putting it to trash.
In localities, many less fortunate students who strive hard to reach their ambition in life, many are working in a fast food chain during day time and study during night time, yes it is very exhausting but they never mind the pain and stress they may undergo just to hold their diploma and land a stable and a good career someday.
